Potassium Acetate is used for the production of antibiotics, potassium penicillin, and in solutions for haemo dialysis & portional dialysis. It is also used as a textile conditioner, a polymerisation catalyst, & as a catalyst in the production of polyeuathane foams and carbon black. In addition, It may be used as a dehydrating agent, a fire-proofing additive & a deicing compound.

Storage and Handling : |
| |
Potassium Acetate is hygroscopic. It should be stored & handled in its original packages or in suitable sealed containers & kept in a clean dry place. Under normal conditions of use potassium acetate does not present any undue health hazard. Precautions should be taken to prevent entry into the eyes & prolonged or repeated skin contact.
Exposure to the dust at high concentrations should be prevented by the provision of suitable ventilation.
